Three-division world champion Mikaela Mayer has signed a multifight promotional agreement with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), according to Sports Illustrated and DAZN’s Chris Mannix. The deal brings an end to Mayer’s long association with Top Rank and positions her within MVP’s rapidly expanding women’s boxing roster.

MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian confirmed Mayer’s arrival, praising her achievements across multiple divisions.

She has competed on the sport’s biggest stages, faced the best fighters in the world, and continues to push the sport forward. We’re proud to welcome Mikaela to MVP and look forward to building the next chapter of her career together.”
Mayer Eyes Biggest Fights With MVP Women’s Roster
Mayer welcomed the move, pointing to the opportunity to face top fighters within MVP’s growing women’s boxing stable.
“I’m thrilled to join Most Valuable Promotions as we continue breaking barriers and elevating women’s boxing to new heights,” said Mayer. “I’ve always wanted the biggest and best fights, and MVP’s premier roster of women champions creates incredible opportunities to make those matchups happen. I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills on some of the biggest platforms in the sport and working with a passionate, innovative team that believes in the continued growth of women’s boxing.”
Move Ends Mayer’s Eight-Year Run With Top Rank
The agreement concludes Mayer’s promotional relationship with Top Rank, which handled her career from her professional debut in August 2017.
Top Rank, Mayer’s long-time promoter, has been without a broadcast deal since its seven-year agreement expired in July 2025.
Mayer Won Titles In Three Weight Classes
Mayer, a former U.S. Olympian who competed at the 2016 Rio Summer Games, first became a world champion at super-featherweight. She lost her IBF and WBO titles at 130 pounds to Alycia Baumgardner by decision at London’s O2 Arena in 2022.
She later captured the WBO welterweight title with a victory over Sandy Ryan in 2024 and defended the belt in a rematch in Las Vegas in March 2025. In October, Mayer moved up to 154 pounds and became a unified junior middleweight champion by defeating WBA champion Mary Spencer while also claiming the vacant WBC and WBO titles.
MVP Launches New Global Women’s Boxing Platform
Mayer joins MVP as the promotion expands its women’s boxing footprint through the newly announced MVPW platform and an ESPN broadcast agreement running through 2028.
The series debuts April 5 in London with MVPW-01, headlined by Caroline Dubois against Terri Harper and featuring Ellie Scotney against Mayelli Flores. The U.S. linear debut follows April 17 at Madison Square Garden’s Infosys Theater, where, former Mayer rival, Alycia Baumgardner faces Bo Mi Re Shin.
MVP has signed more than 40 female fighters, including 22 current or former world champions.
