Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron will meet in a 154-pound title unification fight on Saturday, August 29, at bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham, England, Most Valuable Promotions announced. The 10-round bout, scheduled for two-minute rounds, will air on Sky Sports in the UK and ESPN+ in the US, with Mayer’s WBA and WBC titles and Cameron’s WBO belt on the line. MVPW-06 UK vs. USA will feature a main card made up entirely of UK vs. USA bouts.

Mayer enters as the unified WBA and WBC super welterweight champion and also holds the WBO welterweight title. The 2016 U.S. Olympian began her professional career 17-0, won two world titles at super featherweight, and lost a debated split decision to Alycia Baumgardner in 2022 in an undisputed title fight at 130 pounds.

After challenging Natasha Jonas for the IBF welterweight title in January 2024, Mayer won the WBO welterweight title from Sandy Ryan by majority decision in September 2024. She then defeated Ryan again by unanimous decision six months later in Las Vegas before moving to 154 pounds in October 2025, where she beat Mary Spencer over 10 rounds in Montreal to win the WBA, WBC and WBO junior middleweight titles. Mayer later vacated the WBO belt that Cameron now holds.

“Chantelle Cameron has always been a name I’ve hoped to add to my resume and a fight I feel the sport of boxing deserves,” said Mikaela Mayer. “With our come forward, aggressive styles, I have no doubt that it will be one of the most exciting fights of our generation. Giving the fans the fights they wanna see is what I do best…so here you go. Again.”

Cameron will make the first defense of the WBO super welterweight title she won in April 2026, when she defeated Michaela Kotaskova on the MVPW-01 card in London. The Northampton fighter, trained by Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis, is a former undisputed super lightweight champion and is ranked No. 5 pound-for-pound by ESPN and The Ring.

Cameron made her professional debut in May 2017 and won the IBO lightweight title in her fifth fight later that year. She moved to 140 pounds in 2020 and defeated Adriana Dos Santos Araujo for the vacant WBC title, then unified against Mary McGee in October 2021 before defeating Jessica McCaskill in November 2022 to become undisputed at super lightweight. Cameron defended the undisputed title against Katie Taylor in Ireland in May 2023, then lost their rematch by majority decision in November 2023.

Cameron returned in July 2024 with a win over Elhem Mekhaled for the WBC interim super lightweight title and defended it twice, including on MVP’s Taylor vs. Serrano 3 card in July 2025. Her move to 154 pounds brought her the WBO title previously held by Mayer, putting three belts into play for their Birmingham meeting.

Cameron accepts two-minute rounds

“I am over the moon this fight has been made. I asked MVP for this fight and they have delivered,” said Chantelle Cameron. “I’ve always said I want the biggest fights in women’s boxing, and there isn’t a bigger fight right now than me against Mikaela Mayer. We’re both top-five pound-for-pound fighters, we’re both world champions, and we’re both coming to win. I’ve been vocal about wanting to compete under equal rules and fight three-minute rounds, and that’s still something I strongly believe in. But Mikaela is the unified champion at 154 pounds and has made it clear she wants this fight over two-minute rounds, so I respect that. For me, the most important thing was making the biggest fight possible for the sport and giving the fans the matchup they’ve been asking for. Thanks to my team, MVP, and Sky Sports for this huge opportunity. Saturday, August 29th. Let’s go.”

MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian said the fight brings together two of the leading names in women’s boxing. “MVPW-06 UK vs. USA delivers one of the most important fights that can be made in boxing. A pound-for-pound matchup of this magnitude is nearly impossible to make; two of the world’s top ten fighters meeting in their prime, Saturday, August 29, live on Sky Sports in the UK and ESPN+ in the U.S.,” said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian. “Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron have consistently sought out the toughest challenges available, and this fight is no different. Chantelle is one of the GOATs of women’s boxing, bar none. She went to Ireland and defeated Katie Taylor and almost did it a second time. Mikaela is one of the sport’s biggest faces who has delivered big fights and big ratings. This will be a fight of the year contender. The co-main event features the return of Caroline Dubois, defending her unified titles for the first time against top American contender Amelia Moore as we bring MVP back to the UK and deliver the brand to Birmingham. On the heels of MVPW-05: Johnson vs. Thorslund on Saturday, August 8, MVP is putting together a remarkable month for boxing and continuing to deliver the elite matchups fans deserve.”

Dubois defends against Amelia Moore in co-main

The co-main event will feature London’s Caroline Dubois defending her unified WBC and WBO lightweight titles against American contender Amelia Moore in a 10-round bout at 135 pounds, also scheduled for two-minute rounds. Dubois unified the lightweight titles in April 2025 by defeating then-WBO champion Terri Harper on MVPW-01, after previously being elevated to WBC lightweight champion in December 2024.

Dubois represented Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics and had an amateur career that included gold at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, England’s first World Youth Championship title in 2018, and four European Youth Championship titles between 2016 and 2019. As a professional, she won the vacant IBO lightweight title in September 2023, claimed the WBC interim title in August 2024, and defended her titles in 2025 against Bo Mi Re Shin and Camilla Panatta before unifying against Harper.

“I’m excited to be fighting in the UK at home again,” said Caroline Dubois. “The crowd in London last time was incredible. I am looking forward to representing the UK on this card and defending my unified titles. The goal is to fight for more belts at the end of the year so I need to focus and take care of business with a big win in Birmingham. Forever blessed and happy Most Valuable Promotions are keeping me active.”

Moore, a two-time national amateur champion and former Team USA member, is ranked No. 5 by the WBO and No. 14 by the WBC at lightweight. She made her professional debut in November 2024 and won the NABF lightweight title in March 2026 with a unanimous decision over Bonnie Hunter in her fourth pro fight.

“I’ve spent most of my life pursuing this sport. Three Olympic cycles, countless international tournaments, years of learning, growing, and preparing for moments like this. I respect Caroline and the path she’s taken to become world champion,” said Amelia Moore. “That’s what makes this opportunity so meaningful. When the best are willing to face the best, everybody wins. August 29th is bigger than a title fight. It’s another step forward for women’s boxing, and I’m honored to be part of it.”

With Mayer and Cameron now confirmed, the focus moves to the remaining UK vs. USA bouts and the build-up to a three-belt unification at 154 pounds. Cameron’s comments also leave the two-minute-round issue in the background, even as both champions proceed toward the August 29 fight.
