  • Dubois will take her WBC and WBO belts to WBA champion Han’s home city of El Paso
  • The unbeaten champions headline MVPW-09 on 20 February 2027, live on Sky Sports in the UK / ESPN in the US
  • Victory would move Dubois within one belt of undisputed status and could advance a 2027 fight with Alycia Baumgardner

Caroline Dubois will challenge Stephanie Han in a lightweight unification fight on February 20, 2027, with the WBC, WBO and WBA titles at stake in El Paso, Texas.

Most Valuable Promotions announced that the unbeaten champions will headline MVPW-09 at GECU Arena at the Don Haskins Center. The fight will be shown on Sky Sports in UK prime time and on the ESPN App in the United States.

Dubois, 14-0-1 (5 KOs), will travel to Han’s home city attempting to move within one belt of becoming the undisputed champion at 135lbs. The 25-year-old London southpaw added the WBO title to her WBC championship by outpointing Terri Harper in April, then retained both belts against Amelia Moore in August.

“I can’t wait to get back in the ring and I can’t wait to go into Stephanie Han’s hometown and add another world title to my collection,” Dubois said. “I respect what she’s accomplished, but I’m coming to El Paso to take her title and show everyone why I’m the best lightweight in the world.”

Dubois added: “These are the kinds of fights I’ve been working toward my entire career. I want all the belts, I want the biggest fights, and I want to prove myself against the best.”

Han, 13-0 (3 KOs), won the vacant WBA title with a first-round stoppage of Hannah Terlep in February 2025. The 36-year-old has since made three successful defences, including two consecutive victories over former UFC champion Holly Holm. Their second fight took place in El Paso on May 30.

“This fight is a dream come true!” Han said. “Finally, I have the opportunity to unify titles in my division and get one step closer to becoming the undisputed queen of the lightweight division! To be able to fight at home at GECU Arena at the Don Haskins Center is incredibly special, and I’m grateful to MVP for their support to make this happen.”

MVP chief executive Nakisa Bidarian said: “Caroline Dubois and Stephanie Han are two undefeated world champions at the top of one of the deepest and most competitive divisions in boxing. Caroline has established herself as one of the most talented young champions in the sport, and bringing these two women together with three major world titles on the line is a huge moment for MVP and women’s boxing.”

The IBF championship is the only major lightweight title not involved in Dubois-Han. Champion Elif Nur Turhan is due to defend it against Alycia Baumgardner in Arlington, Texas, on November 8, when Baumgardner will move up from super-featherweight.

A Baumgardner victory could lead to an undisputed fight with Dubois in 2027, provided the Briton defeats Han. Dubois and Baumgardner are both signed to MVP, and their rivalry became more public after Dubois’ win over Moore in August. Dubois confronted Baumgardner during the post-fight interview and called her a “coward”.

Baumgardner later said of a possible meeting: “I just easily pick her apart. I see a lot of holes in her game. I see a lot of her questioning herself and how she does things.”

She also warned that Dubois had work to do before they could meet. “A fight against Caroline is definitely there but she still needs to do her job,” Baumgardner said. “She still needs to show up.”

Dubois and Han are scheduled to meet face to face for the first time during Turhan-Baumgardner fight week and will attend the November 8 card. MVP is expected to announce the Dubois-Han undercard and further event details in the coming weeks.
